Interior design and decoration project for a single family home in La Cañada, Valencia. This time, the main objective was to unify the day area rooms, combining the kitchen, dining room and living room with the same style. To do this, we designed a piece of furniture as a unifying element of spaces, combining wood and vegetation as a natural point and black and white lacquers that provide elegance and distinction to the combination.
We used a combination of black and white in the living room furniture that continues throughout the kitchen to the paneling. This, in perfect white, together with the straightness of its lines and finger pulls, its hidden extraction hood and the always spotless Krion of the countertop with the built in sink, add a touch of cleanliness to the whole. The columns, in dark color, keep alive that particular and elegant balance between chiaroscuro throughout the room.
Without abandoning this dialogue of chiaroscuro, we decided to introduce the staircase into the design of the space by painting the entire element in a dark color, identical to the one used in the furniture, creating a focus to grab the attention and balance. The lighting, fully built in, goes unnoticed until it is needed.
A design in chiaroscuros, elegant and timeless, with some vegetation, such as the built in planters or the amazing palm trees, owned by the client, together with the textiles in soft colors and the wood provide this living space with some warmth and comfort.
The dining area separates the living room from the kitchen easing the crossing between the three rooms. The table is framed by a metal beam enhanced by painting it the same dark gray as that of the dining room furniture and the staircase. The bioethanol fireplace is in the center of the living room so that we can enjoy its warmth while we are enjoying a good meal.
