INTERIOR DESIGN

Housing in Gran Vía

Interior design project carried out by the Valencia-based interior design and architecture studio Ideas Interiorismo. Undoubtedly one of the studio's best projects where we have had the chance to create a home with a unique atmosphere.

When the client contacted us, he told us the four premises he wanted the interior design of his home to have: elegance, serenity, comfort and quality in the materials used. Once the measurements had been taken, the team of interior designers met to analyse each room separately and to be able to provide the interior design project with everything the client had asked for.

For the living room, a completely custom-made furniture has been designed where the protagonist is the wooden striping of the lower part. For the upper part, grey tones mixed with sand have been used to bring warmth and depth to the room. A carpet with beige tones has been chosen, managing to carry the common thread of the house, mixed with blue tones, breaking the general line of colour.

For the dining area, a sculptural table with a porcelain top has been chosen. The table is surrounded by six upholstered chairs in the same colour range as the rest of the house. For the lighting in this area, a set of pendant lamps installed at different heights and in black have been chosen. To add colour and texture to the room, we decided to have a custom-made painting made with green, turquoise and aquamarine tones. We thus created a stylish and very exclusive space.

In the window area an area has been created where you can relax reading a book, listening to music or simply enjoying the views of the outside. For the radiator cover in this corner, the same strip has been used as that of the dining room furniture. In this way, the areas are separated by the design but united by the materials used.

In the centre of the day area, a volume has been designed to house a natural eucalyptus tree that brings freshness and a magnificent smell to the whole room. At the back of this volume is the desk area with a mobile bookcase creating a separate room in which we can store the elements that we do not want to see in the day to day.

The kitchen is connected to the rest of the day rooms with a transparent glass panel that gives us the feeling of spaciousness that we are looking for when cooking. The same materials have been used as in the other rooms: The strip tiles, the tone of the lacquer, even the porcelain tiles. In this way we achieved the same atmosphere throughout the day area.

The main bedroom has been designed with more pleasant and neutral textures and colours to create that feeling of relaxation and rest that we need at bedtime. In the toilet area we wanted to create a unique experience, we have installed an image of an autumn forest with backlighting that generates the atmosphere of serenity that we wanted to achieve by creating an exclusive space.

In the rest of the house, colours, textures and materials have been used to create a general harmony in order to maintain the same atmosphere throughout the house.
